What's included in the $130–$250 per computer rate?
Why are servers priced at $220–$300 each — are they really that much more work?
Yes. A typical workstation gets patched, monitored, and supported. A server runs business-critical workloads (file shares, line-of-business applications, Active Directory, virtualization hosts), needs different backup strategies, requires more rigorous patch testing, and frequently needs after-hours maintenance to avoid disrupting users. The $220–$300 range covers everything plus the additional engineering attention servers require — physical on-prem servers with legacy applications or stricter uptime requirements land toward the high end; modern virtualized or cloud-hosted servers in straightforward configurations land toward the low end.
Do you have a minimum engagement size?
Our managed IT model fits best for businesses with 10 or more users. Below that, we'll typically point you toward either our hourly/project consulting engagement or one of our co-managed IT offerings. Schedule a discovery call and we'll tell you honestly whether managed IT is the right fit, or if a different model serves you better.
Does the price change based on industry or compliance requirements?
Sometimes. The base rate covers standard SMB environments. If you're regulated under HIPAA (healthcare), CMMC (defense contractors), PCI-DSS (payment processing), or have specific contractual security obligations, we add a compliance overlay — typically $15-40 per user per month — that covers the additional documentation, control testing, and reporting that compliance demands. We'll be transparent about this in the proposal.
Is the pricing a contract or month-to-month?
Most clients sign a 24- or 36-month agreement to lock in the rate and align with the lifecycle of the equipment we deploy on their behalf. We do offer month-to-month and shorter agreements, typically at a 10-15% rate premium. We'd rather you stay because we're delivering value, not because you're trapped in a contract.
Can I get a more accurate quote without a sales call?
Yes. Email a basic environment summary to [email protected] (number of computers, servers, users, locations, key business applications, and any known compliance requirements) and we'll send back a written estimate within one business day. No call required unless you want one.
