We walk the building. Sometimes we find original cypress floorboards that lift up and give us 6 inches of subfloor space. Sometimes there are old plumbing chases we can repurpose. Sometimes we run cable along baseboards in matching decorative raceway. Sometimes we drill carefully through interior plaster in a closet and patch it cleanly afterward.
